Beautiful Words Are Words of Justice

if you’ve been around long enough, you’ll know that I adore words + write about them often.

the other week one of my lecturers mentioned something along the lines of the above quote.

and it’s been on my mind ever since…

words don’t simply frame our world; they colour it in as well.

when you speak your words, what colour do they place on the person’s world you’re talking to?

when I think of ‘words of justice’ I think of colours that highlight + enrich a person’s strength.

they help mould the person they were intended to be.

they see the person where they’re at + where they’re going, + they speak words with that in mind.

next time you speak, think about what colour your words are.

will it smear the beautiful colours already there + put a black line through?

or, will your words act as an eraser ridding the colours + lines that did an injustice to the person, to help bring life back into their world?

think about it. do it.
