Take The Plunge

Have you ever wanted to do something for so long that you continue to put it off, but in the end it’s all you can think about because you know that you should totally just do it? *raises hand* What? You too?! Wow. Look at that.

Well, this week I had one of those experiences.

I had been (stupidly) fretting over something that I had wanted to do for so long. And well, it got to the point where I had to do it. I sent that email, booked that appointment, went to it, + left wondering why I had fussed over it for so long.

But out of it came clarity, questions were answered, + connections were strengthened.

Seriously, take a moment to think about something you’ve been wanting to do. Here are some examples that sprung to mind…

Call that friend.

Mend that wound.

Bake that cake (+ eat it too).

Write that book.

Quit your job.

Apply for your dream job.

Create your dream job.

Email / Write / Call that person who consistently inspires you + shower them with gratitude.

Book that appointment.

Go for that first run.

Press ‘publish’ on that post.

Hit ‘send’ on that email.

Say ‘hey’ to the person you always avoid.

Voice your opinion.

Sponsor a child.

Throw a big party ‘just because’.

Share your heart, thoughts, + ideas.

– and so the list continues…

Whatever it is, do it.

Take the plunge, feel the splash, immerse yourself in the experience, + come out of it feeling fresh + renewed.

Better to have jumped + experienced, than standing on the water’s edge wondering…
